Assignment 14A - Halfway Reflection
Tenaciousness is a competence
- This course required me to utilize my time management skills. Because you have to do in-depth assignments every week that you cannot do in one sitting and have it turn out good. You have to be able to look ahead and plan out how you will priotitize and divide up the work load so you don't overload yourself at the end of the week. This course also required me to interview people which helped me develop my confidence in speaking to (usually) random people and ask them questions about this class.
- A moment in this class where I felt like giving up was with this weeks assignment with the reading we had to do. I haven't had to read a biography for a while and in the beginning it felt really boring and I started to think I wasn't going to be able to motivate myslef to finish in time. But, I was able to pull through because I feel I have developed a tenacious attitude from this course. That has been developed throughout the past 7 weeks of this class and being a UF student in general.
- I would invest in a good planner and use it every week so you can visually see what you have to do and so you can space out your workload so you don't get overwhelmed in your classes, especially this one.
- In addition to that, I would also stop your habit of procrastionation. Admit it, everyone has some level of procrastionation and for college, it does a lot more harm than it does good.
- The last tip I have that could help you develop a tenacious mindset is to not underestimate yourself, you got into UF for a reason and you need to know that you are capable of doing the work, but you will be challenged becuase we are a top 8 public university.
Hi Kayla,
ReplyDeleteYes, this class has required me to also use my time management skills. The assignments are not hard but are time consuming especially with the interviews. I also agree with stopping procrastination I think it'll get you no where especially in this class. I had so much going on this week and forgot about the reading reflection so I wasn't able to do it. If I would always procrastinate then I would basically get no assignments done.
